Story comes first.

Music can reveal what words cannot: shaping emotion, defining character, creating a sense of place, and drawing an audience deeper into the story. Whether I am composing for film, theatre, live performance, or the concert stage, I begin with the people, places, and possibilities at the heart of the story.

I bring that same curiosity to teaching. I want students to discover not simply how music works, but what they can say with it… to listen, experiment, make creative choices, and develop their own voices as musicians and storytellers.
